[The trading page is updated more frequently] April 24, 2010 - Just a short update to let you know that the Swift is now available to order. Unlike the test kit seen throughout the project, the kit comes with resin bells only at this time (cast from the aluminium set). A 'deluxe' version with aluminium bells may be offered eventually. January 12, 2010 - The Swift is finally completed after nearly a year and a half in the making! I have added a few more pictures of the test kit during construction here. Ordering details will be made available in the next update (March or so).
Meanwhile,
issue #16 of Sci-fi &
Fantasy Modeller will feature an 8 pages article on the making of my Swift,
with exclusive pictures! Order your copy now :o)

This little break from the Swift allowed me to complete a few
already started projects for my Space 1999 fleet... Y

I have been working on a new project for the past few months;
The Swift from Space 1999. This kit will bring his
share of new challenges, which is rather exciting! You can follow the progress
here.
New pictures of Darren Bertrand's Viper

April 2,
2008 -
I have released a new line of accessories for the Product
Enterprise's Eagle die-cast (1:72 scale). They will also fit most 12" Eagles
(Warp, AMT, Imai, etc.)
I also have a
new pilot (Kara) and landing gear
set to upgrade my Viper Mark II. These parts are
available for a limited time only until supplies (molds) last.
Progress is slower than expected on
Captain Future's Comet but at least it is going in the right
direction (free time is my biggest issue right now...)
December 29,
2007 -
The
Viper Mark VII is finally
available from
Federation Models (Sci-High's page) so hurry up and build your fleet!
Reviews are available on SSM
I am holding the Blackbird
project for a while to see how the Mk7 will do... Instead I have been
working on Captain Future's Comet (Cyberlab)
so expect the first WIP pictures at the end of Winter.
I will also have a few accessories shortly for the
Space 1999 12" Eagle (Product Enterprise or Warp). Here's a few exclusive
shoots at the Laser Turret and
Access Stairs patterns ...more to come!
I would like to thank everyone for their

I have started gathering some essential parts for
building Captain Future's Comet (Cyberlab).
There won't be anything to show here until this Fall however (at least!) The
Blackbird is also on the
drawing board ...No ETA for now.
Finally, I have started two new pools to give me
an idea of what kits to build in a not to far future. You can place your votes
here and here (at the
bottom of each pages).

May 15,
2006 -
For those wondering what's happening with the projects I am currently working
on, here's a follow-up.
Next update will be around August so until then
enjoy summer everyone!
January 22,
2006 -
It has been a while since last update but here's some!
I have added a new page
to the Blue Arcadia section. It shows some good comparisons between the one
I scratchbuilt and the original Takara's kit from which I was inspired from -
Enjoy!
I am currently assembling one of my Viper
Mark II (for myself) and I will post pictures at the next update. All I
can say is that it will have a heavily beaten look...
For the Harlock fans, I just want you to know that
the Mazone battlecruiser is still in the work! It will be in the same scale as
the Blue Arcadia kit (1/1400). The diameter of
the saucer section is 16 cm (6.3 inches) and the final kit should be 23 cm long
(9 inches). No ETA yet but stay tuned for more details as they come.
As usual, the trading post
page has been updated a few times since last official update.
You will probably notice that I have made some
changes to the look of some pages (like this one!) I am currently
revamping the website so if you see something that does not work properly, or if
you have any suggestions,
please let me know!
September 18,
2005 -
The Viper Mark II project is almost over. Final decals
are done and I have already made a few castings ready for assembly.
Alfred Wong kindly accepted
to do a test build-up of one kit. You can see some test shots of his great work
at the bottom of this page. Hopefully, I will build one
for myself and post some pictures as well in the months ahead.
On another note, I have been trying to make a logo
for my kits for quite a while now. Over the time, some of you have refer to my
kits as "Alex Creations" so I have decided to stick with it. You can see what I
come up with right here (top of the page). Like it
or not, let me know what you
think!
As usual, my
trading page
has been updated a couple of times since last update.
June
23, 2005 -
Sorry for the lack of updates lately but family projects have been talking
most of my "free" time for the past few months. Nevertheless, I have been able to
make some good progress on my 1/72 Viper Mk II.
The
trading page
has been updated as well since last time.
March 20, 2005 -
The new Battlestar Galactica series really has some great spaceships designs - I
specially like the
Viper Mark II. That is why I have decided to scratchbuild a
1/72 Viper Mark II as my current project - Just click
on the picture below to see the first details of this project.
Meanwhile, the
Mazones battleship is
progressing at a good rate, even though some parts were remade to make the
vessel more accurate. And as always, the
trading page
as been updated with new additions.
February 7, 2005 -
Extensive research and calculations (with
ScaleMaster) were made by Vaughn McPhail to
determine the unofficial dimensions of the
Space Wolf space fighter (no official specs exist to our knowledge...) The
length would be about 11.3 meters (37 ft.) which brings
my kit to a scale averaging 1/110 - Thanks Vaughn!
And here's a little something that might
interest some of you. The first glimpse at the construction of a Mazonesy
battleship to keep the Arcadia busy on lonely days... Yes, it will be in scale
with the Blue Arcadia.
New links were
added recently and as usual the
trading post
page has been updated as well.
December 23, 2004 -
The Cyberlab is the poll winner with 39% of the 176
votes cumulated. Therefore, it moves officially to the next project on my
workbench. This said, I have started a new poll
including a new subject that I think some may be interested in... go place
your vote now!
Also look for updates in the
trading post.
And Merry Chrismast everyone!
December 4, 2004 -
First pictures of my completed Arcadia are
finally available.
September 1, 2004 -
Finally, first pictures of the Arcadia kits are available

assembled model in October's update.

the
Trading page so
be sure to have a look...
June 20, 2004 -
The last few months have been quit busy as I am a new father (today is Fathers
day by the way!) so I am taking all the little time I have to complete the
Arcadia project. Therefor, there will be no update this month except for the
Trading post
...but I hope to have some pretty exciting pics for next time!
May 16, 2004 -
The final work on the Arcadia is progressing slowly but surely! I have
added a picture of the prototype decals on the
progress page - Some of you asked me
how I was building the parts so I have made a special page on
how the bridge & tower sections were
made.
I have also posted pictures of Olivier Cabourdin's
Cosmo Wing in the gallery - Nicely done
Olivier! And many little
updates throughout the site so feel free to
sneak around!
April
3, 2004 -
The Arcadia's bridge section is finally done! I have posted more photos of the master parts
right here. This project should be completed around the end of
Spring if everything goes well...
Darren Bertrand sent me pictures
of his Cosmo Wing and almost completed Space Wolf. You can see his work in
the
gallery and also on
Starship Modeler - Well done Darren!
February
10, 2004 -
Guess what! I have finally posted the latest photos on the
Blue Arcadia project. The
prototype is well advanced and I hope to have pictures of the bridge section for
the next update - I will also try to include photos and comments on how some
of the parts were scratchbuilt.
Speaking of the Arcadia, Olivier
Cabourdin has made a really good
review on Staship Modeler
about the Space Wolf 2nd edition - Merci Olivier!
There's also has been a few additions to
the
trading post
section since last update.
January 10, 2004 -
Not a big
update for now but stay tuned for new
pictures of the
Blue Arcadia in two or three weeks
(31/01) almost there! ...hopefully next week |
